University of Texas Interactive Map
Working with Roark Creative I covered design and programming on this project. The programming side was done in Action Script 3, we utilized Flash for this project and it turned out so well the school actually used this Flash piece and projected it on glass in their student center along with an Xbox camera to allow the students to manipulate the map with their hands. When clicking on the larger full render it would dive, by animating down to a high resolution 3D view of the building you clicked on.
I used Object Oriented Programming concepts for the coding that drives this map, as well as a couple of design patterns. Once you dive deeper into it you could click on buildings to reveal a schematic type view of the building with a high-level overview of what it was used for. Each of these sections also provided a deeper gallery section for each building.
